To Whom It May Concern, The purpose of this letter is to serve as commendation for Mr. Phil Barton for his efforts supporting OEA with the Dataworks DataFlo ERP system. Phil has been instrumental in helping OEA increase inventory turns from 6 in August 1998, to a current turn level of 14. Phil designed and developed a Min-Max inventory Order Point system for OEA, which enables OEA to utilize a "pull" system, based on actual usage by manufacturing, versus the traditional ordering via straight MRP. Phil also was a key success factor in assisting OEA in developing a clear tracking mechanism for critical shortages, and associated communication with the supplier base. Phil has been a cornerstone of knowledge in the past three years of my career, and is truly one of the most brilliant men I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Phils knowledge base of overall system interface, materials management, and supplier management is unmatched among anyone in my career. I would sincerely recommend Mr. Bartons expertise to anyone utilizing the Dataworks DataFlo ERP system, or anyone in materials management that is wanting to, or needing to, learn more about materials and the interface with all other business systems. Sincerely, John Danis Director of Materials Management OEA, Inc. (303)-627-2231 |
