(MSO-ZT-00) SALES ORDER TEMPLATES

This memorandum provides information with regard to the Sales Order Template Module.

This Custom Module is designed to facilitate the entry of "recurring" Sales Orders, where the Line Item content is essentially the same as a prior (existing) Sales Order.

A "Template" is created, containing entry points for the Part Number, Quantity, and Price Adjustments, derived from an original Sales Order, and Line Items. New Part Numbers can be added to a Template. A field is provided, on the right side of the Line Item, to prevent a Part Number from the original Sales Order from being included on the new Sales Order.

This mechanism stores the price from the original SOLI Line Item, relieving the need to recalculate special pricing.

Optionally, the content of a Bill of Materials can be used, instead of the actual Sales Order Line Items. That can create a "Spares List" for "wear" or replacement parts.

When a Sales Order is created from a Template, a report is issued, to detail what has been constructed. A Hold Code of "T" is placed on the new Sales Order. User entry is required for adjustments, such as Dates, Customer P.O., and Ship-To.
