(MIB-00) INDENTED BOM CUSTOM MODULE INCLUDING SHORTAGES

This memorandum outlines the functionality provided by the Indented BOM Files provided in this custom structure.

This Custom Module places the entire Indented Bill of Materials Structure, of one or more Assemblies or Work Orders, in a database for advanced reporting of Quantities, Dollars and Hours.

For example, Indented Shortage Reporting is provided, which identifies Sub-Assemblies or Components, which are judged to be "short" against existing Nettable Inventory, plus SUPPLY based on existing Scheduled Work Order and Purchase Order Scheduled Receipts, and DEMAND based on either Allocations, or ALL requirements per Work Order Bill of Materials.

Additional Real-time indices are used to maintain lists of Work Orders, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and WO-BOM requirements.

Time-Fencing allows exclusion of Scheduled Requirements, or Receipts based on days from TODAY. For example, the Table Entry can exclude Purchase Orders with a Scheduled Receipt Date more than 5 days forward. Tables provided also control which Nettable Inventories to include, and other factors which allow SUPPLY and DEMAND to vary per User requirements.

A large variety of reports can be provided, or written to user specifications, for Shortage Analysis, Costing, or any other function for which Indented Structure is required.
