        This Module pre-analyzes Work Order Pick shortages from Open Work Order Picks per the WO-BOM File.

        CONTROL FOR CUSTOM WO SHORTAGES

Select ONE method for Inclusion per Work Order Start-Date:

        The first section (above) allows for varying methods of selection of Work Orders to be included in the DEMAND accumulation. Work Orders with Status:

        are selected, and the program examines each WO-BOM looking for Line Items which are not totally picked. Please note that it is possible to "close" a Work Order (i.e., complete building all assemblies) without picking all components; therefore Status "C" is included.

Either ALL Work Orders are considered, or orders with a Start-Date of (Today plus the entered number of days), or (Today plus the Assembly Lead Time in days).

        Select ONE method for Inclusion per Scheduled P.O. Date:

        The second section (above) allows for varying methods of selection by which Scheduled Purchase Order Receipts are to be included for the SUPPLY accumulation.

        Either NO P.O. Receipts are considered, or receipts with a Scheduled Date less than Today (Past Due), or (Today plus the entered number of days).

        9. Include Allocations? (Y/N) .............:

        DEFINITION: Enter 'Y' to include Work Order Allocations. The program protects against duplication of the Allocation for a Work Order and the Open Quantity to be Picked on the WO-BOM itself.

        This memorandum provides information about the method of using Supply and Demand elements to build the Z_SHORT _PICKS record.

        Nettable Inventory (optionally, less Allocations) is the SUPPLY. Optionally, P. O. Scheduled Receipts are added to the SUPPLY, per the Control Table.

        DEMAND comes from the Work Order Quantities yet to pick, from WO-BOM(9) less WO-BOM(4), which is the extended Quantity Required less Total Picked.

        Gross Shortage = Supply Less Demand.
