(BFL-00) DIRECT BACKFLUSH - NO WORK ORDERS REQUIRED
DIRECT BACKFLUSH allows a customer to build product from MPS requirements, or hand-entry, without the use of Work Orders or Repetitive Schedules. Each completion contains required Financials, and Variances, at M-L-O. You can create one month-end journal for all WIP, and optionally eliminate the need for GJ,INV for these transactions. Transaction date and picklist are user- adjustable. Finished Goods can move directly to a GL account, rather than an Inventory. No financial closure is required. Transactions are batch-controlled, and reversible.
NOTE: Does not handle Outside Processing Orders, or Direct Labor entry. Ideal for assembly-type customers where Earned Labor dollars are sufficient.
The DIRECT BACKFLUSH module provides the ability to perform the Repetitive (or non-Repetitive) Backflush for Assembly Completions. Some of the features of this Custom Module .....
1). User selects effectivity date.
2). Reversal of prior movements allowed, for prior effectivity date.
3). Backflush transaction records with its' own financial data at Material-Labor-Overhead, and 3-way Variance measurement Current, Standard, as-rolled).
4). One set of journals from month-end figures.
5). No transactions travel through WP Inventory, cutting the number of Stock transactions in half.
6). Ability to move to/from a General Ledger account, in addition to Inventory alone.
7). Ability to adjust the Picklist before Posting to Inventory.
8). Batch-numbered transaction handling for posting and reports.
9). Optional decrement of MPS Planned Orders on "FIFO" basis.
10). Works on top-level assemblies, or subassemblies.
11). Ability to separately report financials on Expense-type parts.
12). REP-SCHED file not used.
13). WORK ORDER file not used - no financial closures needed.
14). Excellent audit trail - isolating adjusted picks, if any.
15). Proper handling of "do-not-pull" parts.
